Jen grew up in a small town in northern Iowa (Osage) and was taught to play tennis by her older sister at the age of 5. She began playing at the local tennis courts in the park near her home. Throughout her high school tennis career, she played first doubles and first or second singles and was the first from her high school to qualify for the Iowa State Tennis Tournament. She played at the University of Northern Iowa her freshman year.
Jen has coached at several middle and high schools in the metro area. She has been the Assistant Boys Tennis Coach at Cambridge-Isanti High School since 2012. She has also been teaching private and group lessons at PIT since 2011.
She currently plays on several USTA teams and has had the privilege of competing at the National level 3 times. She is thankful to work with such incredible students and co-workers at PIT. She would like to say a special thank you to Tim & Dawn Jachymowski for the opportunity to work at PIT and to Jon Koenigs for all he has taught her about coaching.
