Good afternoon,

Thank you for signing up to our 6th annual Day after Thanksgiving Calorie Relief event!

I figured I would send out a reminder about our event on Friday, and send out the rules to save time and reduce the chance of any confusion.

We will be playing Up and Down the River doubles. The way we work it here is:

1. I will assign your court position to start with.

2. You will warm up until 10 minutes after the hour.

3. After 23 minutes of play (or thereabouts), I will give a 2 minute warning to finish the game that you are on. Throughout the day, you will be using normal ad scoring (ad in, deuce, ad out), but after the 2 minute warning you will use no-ad scoring to complete the game.

4. The doubles team in the lead moves one court towards court #1, while the team behind moves one court towards court #4.

5. You will split partners and play the next doubles match with a partner that you have not played with before.

6. After 23 minutes of play, you will receive another 2 minute warning. Repeat 2 more times!

If you are tied after the 2 minute warning, you will play a 1 point tiebreaker to determine which team goes which way. The player who is to serve next in the rotation will serve the point, and the returning side will get to choose either the deuce or ad court to return serve.

That's about it...I will supply new balls, and make sure you stick around at the end for a random draw for a $10 gift certificate to Target. Have a great Thanksgiving, and I'll see you Friday!

Tim

I just wanted to confirm with you that you are on our "Standby" list for the 4.0 Day after Thanksgiving Calorie Relief event. The automated email reply can make it look like you have a spot in the main event. If I get any cancellations, I will try to call, text or email you to fill in.

Thanks and have a great Thanksgiving!
