Dawn’s connection with the sport of tennis started when she began dating her high school sweetheart, Tim Jachymowski, in 1984.  Outside of whacking the tennis ball across the court from time to time with Tim, Dawn’s link with the sport of tennis was mostly as a spectator over the next 28 years.  Whether it be watching Tim play tennis, watching professional tennis matches on TV, or watching her 3 children compete in tennis matches in high school or college.

Eventually in January 2012, Dawn enrolled in an Adult Beginner class at PublicIndoorTennis.com with her friend, Barb Bliss, and so began her love for playing the game of tennis!  Dawn made many tennis friends during several Adult Beginner classes led by Jon Koenigs, and in the summer of 2012, Barb suggested starting a women’s in-house league.  Nobody would have predicted that this year-round in-house league would still be going strong today, and ultimately grow to 18 doubles teams (36 players)!
