Scott grew up playing tennis in Decorah, Iowa. He was a 2-time state champion in doubles during high school and went on to be nationally ranked while playing Division III tennis for Luther College. He has been a certified PTR teaching pro for over 25 years and has worked at camps and clubs across the country including the Van der Meer Tennis Academy. He was also the head tennis coach for the Anoka High School tennis teams (2004-2007) and recently has returned to coaching for the Anoka Middle School boys and girls teams.
In total, Scott has taught all ages and abilities of tennis players ranging from brand new beginners to world-class juniors. He continues to play tennis competitively at the USTA 4.5 level but simply loves being on the tennis court whenever he can. Scott has been teaching periodically at PIT since it opened and keeps coming back because of the wonderful staff, coaches, and awesome players who come here to improve their tennis game while having fun.
